I know I promised tie dye, but instead I decided to share music that I've been listening to lately. I hope you enjoy the songs below and let me know if there's any new music you think I should be listening to.
BATHS - Animals
The first video isn't actually the official music video. That's only because there isn't a music video out yet , but I just fell in love with this song the minute I heard it. It sort of appeals to the Four Tet side of my musical taste, only with a good measure of creepy kid voices thrown in. They'll be in LA in March if you want to see them live. Get tickets here

MIIKE SNOW- Animal(no relation to the previous song)
I had listened to a few of Miike Snow's songs before seeing him perform at the Wiltern, earlier this fall and my first impression was that they were good, but somehow didn't grab me. Yet, from the moment he took to the stage my mind was instantly changed and it was impossible to stop dancing! That is, until the music stopped due to technical difficulties. Sadly, he hadn't even played his most popular songs, such as Animal and yet the concert still goes down as one of the best I've ever seen. It definitely rates as THE BEST half-concert of my life. Animal is the most popular single off the album and there's a reason why. Enjoy!

ARCADE FIRE - The Suburbs
Arcade Fire is one of my all time favorite bands. And as made evident in Where the Wild Things Are, it seems to be one of director Spike Jonze's favorite bands as well. Hence, the latest Arcade Fire music video directed by none other than Jonze himself. This song is the opening song on the album and it has a more mundane and subdued feel to it than most of Arcade Fire's earlier work. It's a mood that took a little getting used to at first, but one that seems suited to the suburban sprawl depicted in the video. Even though I'm a really big fan of this latest album, my heart still belongs to the raw emotion of their freshman release Funeral.
MARK RONSON - Bang Bang Bang
This is easily one of my favorite videos of the year. Super stylish, and super cool, not to mention a very catchy song by Mark Ronson & The Business INTL featuring Q-Tip and MNDR

LOST IN TREES - NPR Tiny Desk Conert
Lastly, and possibly the most beautiful sounding band on this page is Lost in Trees. Just listen and you'll easily be lost in their folky orchestral sound.
